Yes, it's the MG E-Motion fully electric concept revealed my MG at Auto Shanghai (Shanghai Motor Show) this morning.

MG Motor UK (Matthew Cheyne) has been quoted this morning as saying it could be available in 2020 and below £30k!

Early stats says 0-60 in 4 secs, with over 300 mile range.

It's Chinese and electric..... not much else to say really other than perhaps at least it's not German! It looks good though on the outside!

No doubt the battery will contribute to the pollution of some of the worlds most beautiful places, just so they can mine lithium-Ion for it's production! And then making it will involve massive amounts of carbon dioxide lost compared to making a petrol car! I need to stop

I have to agree, there is something wrong with looking at a load of Chinese revealing an MG,the name has nothing to do with them

it's a good looking excercise! If it drives half as good it's a winner. I would then add an O to the badge => OMG

for Oriental MG instead of the more obvious

Looking at the badge again it seems they have already had the same idea and hove put the O around the MG

I always think similar things with anything rechargeable. Or electronic in general. The precious metals that go into their manufacture are scarce. The batteries need recharging, and fossil fuels (currently and mostly) have to be consumed to make the electricity to do that. Doesn't quite add up at the moment does it. One of my plastic car friends also has one of the Tesla sports cars. And he loves it. But he sees it as an "extra toy", not a serious transport option. He'd loaded.
