Awesome! Does it work?
Yup now have clutch and brakes! Just need to finish off the plate for under the car to reinforce the floor where the box is mounted.
Only other jobs are route the wiring for the fuel gauge and sender, calibrate the gauge, calibrate the speedo, fit nuts on track rod ends and blank off the servo pipe from the itb's. Simples
Clutch and brakes now working fine with the new pedal box and over the weekend we also fitted a fuel gauge, worked first time which is great as I'm really not a fan of electrics!
Just a bit of tinkering with the plate to fit under the floor to brace the pedal box and then calibrate the speedo, fit number plates and rear plate light and that's about it.
MOT time soon!!
The Beast arises
Awesome. Glad you got the brakes sorted. Can't wait to see this beast on the track!
Small bit of work on the MGB this weekend, plate for pedal box all sealed up and foot rest now fitted. May have to change the seat for something a bit smaller as it's pretty cramped inside and won't be very comfortable to drive, a smaller seat will allow it to be mounted further back giving us more leg room, etc. Decision decisions.
Wow, almost two years without an update!
Sooooo, actually got the MGB-K on the road this weekend. Didn't drive far but really just a shakedown to make sure it's all working ok. By god it's fast, without even getting up to speed it just flies! After 5k revs it just obliterates the Rev counter up to 7.5/8k. Soooooo, track day next, although it has to be a daytime session as after Dad got it noise tested today it's too loud for evenings.
Looking good. Can't wait to see this in action.
Tooooo Loud,I like the sound of that
Those mirrors though.....are they any usefull or only ornamental? Not that you'll need them much as the car is quick enough.
I never even saw the mirrors
ERM....pretty ornamental to be honest. Will see what they're like on track but they'll probably be changed
I have a nice set of blue ZR ones
