I was driving down the A12 yesterday and as I went up a sliproad there was a horrible sound. I thought it was an old banger behind me. As I went round a rounderbout the car behind went off one of the turnoffs and I went off the next. I realised something was wrong with the car it just diddent feel right. I looked in the mirror and an Audi that was following had dropped back to about three car lenths and realised there was a whining coming from the car. On went the hazzads and I slowed right down and pulled off the next turning. I went round the car and felt each off the wheels and the passenger rear was red hot I gussed at it being a broken bearing or the breaks jammed. I called the wonderfull RAC man and 1and half hours later he turned up in his shiney orange van, he cofirmed the breaks were indeed locked. After a slow trip back home with RAC man following I called my mechanic. So today after him having it for a couple of hours I now have a new caliper, break pads on both sides and new fluid becouse I had boiled the old stuff all for £150.

Update:-
My driver side rear wheel now gets warm after a drive and the passenger side is cool, which is the opposite to when I had the trouble. Is this normal when you have to bed in new breaks??
