View Full Version : Classic Car Show @ the NEC 13th - 16th November
I have space for 6 cars on the stand. Each car will have 2 free passes for the show, that's driver and a passenger. Two of these spaces are taken by myself, so that leaves 4 up for grabs.
Remember that this is completely free except for accomodation and food. I can help with accomodation arrangements but will not pay for people's rooms.
I will need to know if people DEFINITELY want to come to this, if you commit to coming and then pull out I will ban you from this website. May sound harsh, but I need to know that people are committed.
The show WILL involve the following dates/times:
Thursday 13th November - Setting up from 09:00 - 12:00
Friday 14th November
Saturday 15th November
Sunday 16th November - Cars can only leave after 18:00, although this will be controlled by event staff, so could be 21:00.
If you cannot be available at these times then you simply will not be able to get into/out of the hall.
I'm trying to give people as much information as possible to make an informed decision as to whether they can come or not.

you know I'm interested but can't commit to still owning the car in November...
I know Dom. I really need 4 more peopel commited though or I'll have to cancel the stand. Really don't want to do that as it took a lot of effort on my part to get it in the first place.

Me and possibly my friend would commit but our cars are not 100% mint condition and do have general wear, a few stone chips and dings. I am not saying they are bad but in comparision to some of you guys not as great. Plus they look standard from the outside but my engine is a supercharged k and my mates is an integra type r lump? Let me know?
Would welcome some converted cars such as yours, certainly one of the BRM's i'm bringing will be a track beasty with a throttle bodied k-series engine.
I would need to know definite's though as its first come, first served and there are limited places.

I will definately be there one of the days, but my car isn't good enough to show at the moment, hopefully this time next year I'll have managed to get the thing sprayed and looking tip top again.

Mine isn't the best.. i'm going to have ones work cut out to get it to the required level.. damn previous owners!

90% certain that the track car wont be ready on time now :(
Therefore 3 places left! Really would like these filled, but i'll be having a conversation this lunchtime with the organisers about costs of cancellation. If it costs then we'll just show with what we have, if its free to cancel then I will seriously consider it....

We would've driven it, its going to be road legal. Don't want to trailer it as its a pain in the arse pushing it onto and off a trailer, plus unloading incurs a charge at the NEC, so don't fancy that.
I have until next Monday 29/09/08 to decide whether to keep this event going or not, so come on peeps this is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to show your car off at the Birmingham NEC, probably the biggest venue that you could display your car!!

Yup.
There is a reduced price ticket offer in the News section on here. Buying a ticket to the Classic Car Show also gives entrance to MPH and the Classic Bike Show.

Photos now uploaded, went today, yes it is expensive but well worth it. Make sure you go to the stand, the guys make you feel very welcome.:beer2:
top display at the show!!! highlight of the day for me to see the brm's. nice one lads, nice job.
