Looking good, and some choice mods there matey!

Just out of interest, where did you get your rear strut brace from? :D

I actually got the rear one from Ebay. The front one came from Direct Car Parts and is the E-tech one. There is a quick release one that goes for about £150 if you use the rear seats folded down a lot. Front ones are easy enough to find its the rear ones that are tricky.

Yeah, i've got a polished E-Tech on the front but sourcing a rear is a pain in the bum. Will have to continue my searching :D

How does she go with the ported head? Its definitely on my to do list.

Well when the ported head was put on I had the Janspeed manifold, cat and exhaust as well as the FSE valve all fitted at the same time. So I can't really say what effect just changing the head will have, but I must admit I feel she's now the car she should have been from the begining, you don't notice the extra horses but the extra torque is very noticable. The only problem is I've modded past the capability of the suspension which could do with firming up as I'm getting the old see saw effect when changing gear in rocketship mode. Most perfomance specialsist who deal with heads will say you'll get about 10BHP with a ported head more if you get one with bigger valve ports but price is a limiting factor. If my engine hadn't gone bang I doubt I would have done any head mods but since the labour was there to replace the standard head I thought it would be rude not too. If your interested check out this web page which has several permormance specialists packs and prices.

Thanks. The previous owner traded the car in with the reg....which saved me a bit of cash in not having to buy one from DVLA.

Unfortunatly I've had too from a coming together with some scabby silver French rust bucket Peugeot. His scab mobile was fine but the front of the BRM was bent not too badly so should be back on the road when i undend a few bits.

Looking much better.....apart from the odd mssing bit. It's amazing how quickly 3 hours goes by when your cleaning an engine bay.

Thanks. i've ordered a touch up paint kit to get rid of all the little scratches and chips as well as a couple of paint touches in the engine bay I've got in mind. Magnecor leads to go on too. Any suggestions for a good polish to make it look shinyer.

Give it a good go over with a clay bar, I use Autoglym Super Resin Polish which works wonders. Then seal it with a decent wax.

New wings have arrived so will try them on to see how they fit this weekend. Fingers crossed for fine weather as my list of things to do hasn't gone down much lately.
