View Full Version : theBRM.co.uk and Owen Motoring Club
It is with regret that I am announcing the imminent closure of the Owen Motoring Club BRM forum and website (we presume). After Mark over at the OMC fighting our cause to keep the other forum alive the committee have decided that lack of enthusiasm and use will mean its closure.
In Mark's own words...
So its all down to your site ,
I wish you good luck and think you have done well up to now
sorry that things are like this as you may know the only BRM cars the President looks on are 1960 race cars ,
all the best
Mark
With this in mind I am now prepared to devote more of my time and energy to this site to make it the number 1 resource for Rover 200 BRM LE owners! Changes will be coming slowly and I will be producing more merchandise for you lucky owners as well.
On a seperate note I am currently also in discussions with the Rubery Owen organisation to become fully licensed to use the BRM name so bear with me but this site will become the official Rover 200 BRM LE club.
So spread the word to any BRM owners that you know, we're here to stay and keep the orange on the road!

With your continued and increased involvement in the site and the development of the great TDR BRM there is no reason why this is not going to continue.
With the closure of the Owen Motoring Club BRM forum can only help. Now there only being one central location for designated Rover BRM LE owners and enthusiasts.
So only one last thing to say is a BIG Thank YOU to you Adam for doing all this for us and I’m sure many of us will help you to build the site and the Rover BRM LE name in the future.

bout time they made a decision!!! tis a shame really but things are much better in your hands adam than theirs, good luck with your future plans m8!! If your effort and this site are anything to go by you wont need it. :)
Bring on the owners club title!!!
WOO HOO, besides, i dont remember seeing a rover BRM at the classic motor show NEC at the OMC, not much of a club, no good to me, adam thebrm.co.uk had them all there. looking forward for more merchandise, what sort of thing are you thinking of adam?
Well thank you all for your kind words. With support like yours the club can only get better.
On the merchandise front plans are afoot for the following:
Polo shirts - Mens & Ladies
Baseball caps
Fleeces
Mugs
Keyrings
If you have any suggestions though I'm always open to ideas! :D

We have spoke - offer of help still stands mate - we can take this as far as we want.. might be a nice idea iF we get the Rubrey backing to target Rimmers etc for owners club discounts etc, the merchandise you quote is the only real thing i can see that you can do.
The owners club thing will stand you in god stead track day discounts etc..

Since i started looking for my car (and since getting it) there is no doubt that this is the main place for BRM owners.
Sites like this only keep going due to the enthusiasm and effort of people like Adam (and anyone else) who put their time and effort in to keeping the site going..
Thanks, and well done from me.. :clap2::clap2:

I don't even have a BRM (yet!) or even a Rover, but I still lurk around here daily like a bad smell!
I think you deserve to get the officialness!
