The seal is starting to go on my current sunroof, but have managed to sort out a good condition one. The problem is that it is on a scrapped car.
I guess someone on here may have had to remove the glass before as this is a common problem. If so how can this be done and do you need a battery connected to open the sunroof in anyway whilst removing it?
I've taken the entire sunroof mechanism off the track car, but haven't done just the glass. When I go up to the unit at the weekend i'll have a look-see how it goes together.

Yeah I'll probably be up the scrap yard trying to remove it. Found a ZR with all the bits I need and they are offering them for resonable prices.

The ZR at the scrappies has 16" hairpins
i changed mine a few weeks ago and its only 3 bolts to take out, i took it off with the sunroof closed, then when i put it back on it was easyer for me to have it open, on a tilt. 20 quid i paid. off a 03 25.
i have a small leak coming through my pasanger rear window now!! grr, lol. got to keep on top of them.

Could you let me know what size the torx bolt was? I have heard it is a T12 before.

Well tried to get the glass from the ZR and gave up once removed, the rust problem on the 53 plate ZR's seal was worse than my current one. The seal basically just fell off!!
