Hello,

i have a question if anyone can urgently help me. Today i tried to replace my dials with white face, unfornutaly my temperature meter and fuel thank indicator are not working anymore. my rpm meter is working, but it get stucked at 5000 rpm. further my speed meter is working ok.

what i did is i removed the needles, and replaced the faces by white faces. afterwards i did put the meters in the idle position back. as they were in idle position.

Only the needles from the temperature meter and the fuel tank meter, where hard to take off, i had toput some little power to take them off.but how should i put them back is there any special way?i did put them back, but they are not working anymore.. I NEED HELP!!!

In case i need new dial can anyone let me know where i can buy a dial in km/h only for the rover brm? and if i need to buy a new one can i directly buy one with a white face for my brm? so i do not have to sturggle and make the same mistake again? i really hope someone can help me with this, i really need help!! because now i cannot see any information in my dashboard.

I understand what you've done, but am not sure of an answer as I've not tried replacing the dials.

It could be that you've broken the two dials, I'll do some further research for you though!

nasty man thanks alot for your help. the rpm meter and speedo dial are working quite oke. i had to pull a little bit hard to get the dials out from the temperature meter and fuel meter.

as i see i did not broke anything. the pins on the temp meter and fuel meter are cut slightly in a little angle if i look good. and both dials are like that. so i think i did not broke anything. i guess there is a special way to put these dials back. maybe u can find this out. otherwise i do need only the temp meter and fuel meter seperatly. i just looked into the user manual of rover, and it seems u can replace these items... by piece... so i do not have to buye the whole speedo meter...

may u can help me with that ?

Sounds like the needles have been pushed in to far or not pushed in far enough, either way then they wont work. When I fitted the custom white dials to my BRM I broke the temp needle, the only thing I found when fitting the needles back is to adjust them by either pulling or pushing the needles in or out while the dash pack is fitted to the car & igntion on to get the correct reading, it takes a lot of patience.

hello,

unfortunatly i broke the needles of the temp. meter and the fuel meter. so in this case.. i think ik have to buy the two new meters, and use sticker type of white dials which i can put over the tem meter and fuel meter without removing these needles. my rpm meter and speedo meter is working perfect. only the removing of the petrol and temp needles is impossible and you will brake them i guess... if you try to pull them out.
