I've just replaced both rear calipers, I got recon units from bigg red:

http://www.biggred.co.uk/

It is the same caliper as any other rover 200, nothing specific to the BRM.

That said, the recon units I got (despite having the same casting number on them as my existing ones), had a slightly different thread for the handbrake cable bracket bolts, so I had to drill the holes out and re-tap them for new bolts as the existing bolts I had didn't fit. I guess just a little thing that must've changed over the years of production - I wonder why?!?

Service from bigg red was great and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Last one I had that seized (a few years back now) was replaced by the at the time Rover garage in the area.

Just got back from a short drive and the front passenger side brake disc is really hot and there loads of brake dust on the wheel, i think the caliper might be sticking, has anyone else had any brake problems?

Yep I had the same a few months back, it got so hot I had cooking oil for break fluid. It was a replacement job.

When I bought my BRM both rear brakes were binding because the sliding mountings were seized up. I cleaned them up and re-greased them and they've been fine ever since.
