What's the general opinion of Mintex products for the BRM?
I need to do all 4 corners for pads, front discs . . . . . and just as well change the rear discs while I'm at it. Seen some mintex axle sets (discs, pads and the little spring clips / slidy things) on e-bay for just under £100 delivered.
Does this sound OK to you?
I look forward to your help and advice.
Thanks,
Gary.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I think I'll get them - plenty of good things said on xpowerforums (I can't help it - I've got a ZS180) about them.

thanks for the kind offer:chair: but I won't be swapping the ZS180 for a BRM - I've already got one!
The zed is the daily workhorse running on LPG to keep it affordable and won't be getting shot of it for a long while - on 76k miles now. 2nd best car I've had (if it does another year without trouble it'll beat the current 'best car' - a rover 420gsdi). I'm told the ZS120's are a better handling car than a 180, but I've never driven one. I know there's guys out there with 1.8 turbo K series engines pulling 200 horses - more than the grunt of the 180 with none of the extra weight of the KV6 (and none of the lovely V6 growl - I'm like a big kid going through tunnels with the windows wound down now I've fitted most of the janspeed system - only the manifolds left to fit, I'm not looking forward to that fiddly job)
Was looking at Mintex for my next pads. Wouldn't touch green-stuff again.

Funny enough I had made my mind up do avoid geenstuff pads straight after doing a search for 'brakes pads' to find several posts by a fella called Adam grumbling about them :). It seems to be a common complaint that they're all dust and no stopping power.
I would have gone OE (as I have done for my ZS180) but couldn't justify the cost my local exMGR dealer was charging so have to go for an alternative.
Funny that
Green-stuff are ok, but I found that after driving 'enthusiasticaally' they fade pretty quickly, so don't inspire me with huge amounts of confidence.
I've had Greenstuff on since Feb 07, they've done 2 trackdays, and no problems whatsoever. But then I'm used to motorcycle braking (and acceleration:) ), so I don't expect too much with cars! :):)

It could be that you need a better grade of brake fluid. I suggest Racing blue:chair:
