My BRM came with a receipt for a full Powerflow system £250 - what exactly comes with a full system?
I'm asking because although it makes a lovely baaarpp baaarpp noise, it's not my cup of tea and I would prefer to change it back to a standard item - would replacing the back box be enough to calm the noise down and if I do that is the Powerflow back box worth selling on it's own?
If it is possible, does anyone have a standard back box (with nice chromey bit) that they'd want to straight swap with me for the noise can?

I'm in Hull (East Coast) so I reckon it'd be a post jobbie but you can have first refusal if I sell it =]
Full system should be manifold, cat, interpipe and backbox, but not sure if Powerflow actually do manifolds....
If you had a picture I could tell you if its standard or not.

£250 seems cheap for all that!
I'll have a go at taking some pics tonight, without access to a ramp they may be a bit rubbish thou.
No problem, I can tell you from a top shot of the fanimold! :D

Do you think just changing the rear box will be fine?
As long as they mate up then the standard backbox should quiet the noise down as its probably more restrictive.
Alternatively you could go to powerflow again and ask them to make you a quieter backbox, apparently they can do this although never had a PF system myself.

ive got a powerflow back box and it can get on your nerves at times especially on a long motorway journey!! the stahdard rear box will put you back in stealth mode!!

My only worry about going back to a standard exhaust is having it look like a rusty peashooter! :ras:

Yeah I'm gonna look into that, I heard Rimmer Bros is the place for the OE Rover backboxes.

Update! had it on a ramp now and it's Powerflow from the Cat back, replacement of the rear box only is not possible - so it's very likely that it'll be replaced with something a little quieter and then up for sale!
