I have an option on a very nice set of ZR seats, much more supportive etc, etc.

Anyone tried to put the covers from the BRM onto the ZR seats?

Worth a try, they can't be that different to fit on to be honest.

didn't change the trim, but I had to take the trim once from a zr seat to replace the iron thing that makes that the seat can twist so you can reach the backseat. And it was a pain in the ass to retrim it with the original zr seatthing
I assume that the seats themselves are slightly wider (after all them give more support on the sides so I assume there's more stuffing) So it wil be deffinatly a more then pain in the ass job.

Good luck. tell me if it worked, then I do it myself one day (I miss the red leather ;) ).

I have been told by more than one ZR owner that i have no chance of making the red leather fit the ZR seat as the leather hasn't the same shape as the other seat (bolster sizes) so i'm not sure if i'm going to take this up

Thinking about buying a Black Focus CC (dont worry keeping BRM as our 3rd car anyway) the Seat Surgeons from York quoted £795 plus VAT for a full red leather re trim inc door trims.

Hope this helps

You can take the boy out of the BRM, but you can't take the BRM out of the boy. ;)

Seriously though, £930 for a full retrim is less than many manufacturers will charge and, while it's a lot of money, is good value in my opinion.

Depends upon where you go, i have some aftermarket contacts but the generally charge in excess of £1,700 upwards for front and rear seats.. done to a high level.

I have trimmed panels and as long as they are reasonably flat it is simple, however i would not like to try seats..
