I'm going to need to spray it anyway. Wanted the extension to stick on the normal one as I want the extension in Orange (Sorry Adam!) and it will be easier than trying to spray a complete new one-piece inj 2 colours!

http://www.moto-build.com/ have them listed under 'Body Styling' @ £48 + £9 for P&P...
...or is this not the one you guys are talking about?

Think Mr Driver is talking about the 'hoop' to attach to the original 'lip'.
Its actually much easier to buy a one piece ZR spoiler and just swap the brake light connections over. That way you don't have to destroy your original 'lip' to fit the 'hoop'.

My mistake - for which I apologise therefore. To be honest, I never even knew you could get the version you're all talking about!

It's the mark1 MG ZR spoiler that he wants. it comes apart into two pieces, so easy to paint :)

That's the one! I've been looking on fleabay for one since I saw pictures of a couple of BRM's with the mod, but not seen one yet. I was trying to find if anyone knew of another source.

All the MG ZR spoilers without the centre support should be the detachable ones. So you can detach the two parts for easy painting :)
Here are some from Ebay.

They look like this. The two parts do come apart. :)

Don't get this one, as it's only a one piece.

Thanks for that! Didn't realise that the Mk1 could split, and none of the ad's mention it!
Spoiler ordered! Cheers
i like the add on on the spoiler, hmmm.

OK, so I've got my Mk1 spoiler (thanks Welshone).
Now how do I take it apart? I've undone one nut and 3 screws from wach end, can't find any more and it won't split apart.
Also, how does the LED brake light assembly come out too? I've got another little project which needs that!

it should just come apart unless some clever sod has decided to glue the two parts together. Try prising them apart as you will be painting them anyway.
As for the light i'm not to sure i'll have a look tomorrow on mine.

There should be some screws on the underside of the spoiler (the area that attaches to the car) which go into the back of the light unit.
Hope you've had some luck with detaching the two parts.
IIRC the brake lights on the 2 part spoiler are attached by screws that are hidden within the spoiler. There should be 2 holes that you can put a screwdriver through to get to them.
