The metal circle at the top of the gear stick gaiter rattles like mad against the shaft (ooer!)
Is there an easy way to stop this ? or would I have to remove the gaiter and attack it from beneath?

Mine does that too.
Although the track car had an elastic band underneath holding it in place when we took it off. Unless you want to take it all apart I guess just wearing earplugs will have to suffice.

There should be a plastic (nylon) washer under the top of the gaiter. This fixes quite tightly to the gaiter and the shaft and stops it rattling. Has it slipped down your shaft? [Sniggers]

Mine does this too, I've 'solved' the problem with a piece of thin red card (to match the trim), rolled round the shaft and pushed into the gap between the metal collar and the shaft.
I hadn't realised there was supposed ot be a nylon washer!
On a similar note, my passenger seat makes a really annoying squeaking sound when I go over any knid of bump when there is no one in it. I think it is to do with the fold down mechanism. When there is the weight of a person on the seat the problem disappears. Anyone else have this or know of a good solution?
