Before anyone starts i know they are pointless but i put one in anyway & I like it :D

Can the car still be started with the key?
I know the key needs to be in position 2, but if it is turned to 3 does it do anything?

yes car still starts in position three, I can change it to only start from button when in position 2

what wires did you splice into? put the switch in place in mine but the wires i was told to splice into were different colours so i left it....cheers

There are two sets of wires coming off the back of the barrel one set of 4 wires goes to the dash fuse box & a set of 5 wires leading to the engine.

The 5 set one leading to the engine is the set you need. There is a plug you can undo for better access to the wires.

This plug has a:

Black/White and Purple wires one side
Blue/White wire in the middle
White and Black/White at the other end.

These last two wires are the ones you need to splice into. (White and Black/White)

The Green and Red wires are the new ones for the button.
