I'm sure this must have been asked before, but why when I park downhill tail first does the engine not hold the car when either first or reverse is selected, could it have anything to do with the Torsen anti-slip diff?

Also, who did I pass in Torquay during the May holiday, we waved to each other of course..!!

Thanks fellas

Eric

Definitely does hold, my handbrake gone as well !! May be a silly thing but you do have to lift off the clutch pedal.

My driveway is around 1:4. I've never had a car with this happening before, my ZT 400 holds just fine on the same driveway without handbrake. My BRM goes like stink and is wonderful, it just doesn't hold in gear on the slope.

And another thing, (this one shouldn't be a problem with those who know) I've obtained matching woven stainless grille and would like to fit this over the weekend on the lower grille area. Any tips please? removal of snout or front etc. I'd be grateful.

Thanks once again fellas and I'd love an extra large tee-shirt 'cause I'm a fat git.

. . . . . . . . my ZT 400 . . . . . . . .

Eric

Wooo Hoooo!

And I though I was a lucky boogar having a ZS180 and a BRM:chair:

I've got a funny thing about MGRs with a 214 and 414 outside the house as well, but ZT400 . . . . . if only I could afford to feed one:wacko:

Nice couple of cars there Eric - any more exotic motors in the collection?

I've just had a word with the workshop manager of my local Rover dealership who tells me "Yes sir, they do that on a steep incline".

I can feel the compression stroke when it slowly chugs backwards.

Well it's always good to learn something new so there you have it.

I've no more exotic machines apart from my B class American RV which is not designed for going fast.

Yes Adam it is a Dreadnought conversion, that nice Mr Luti took all my money in exchange for the Kenne Bell blower with intercooler of course.

I'll post some pics when I find out how to do it on the forum. :)

Easiest way is to upload them to a free file sharing site, I use www.photobucket.com

Once they are uploaded simply copy the link that starts [img] and paste it into your post on here, voila!

Whenever I see the word "Simply" or "Easiest way", in instructions, I know I'm in for trouble.

I've loaded up the pics into photobucket but don't see the link starting "img".

More info would be appreciated

Really its not that bad :D

Hover your mouse over the picture you've uploaded in your album, it'll come up with 4 (i think) links below the picture and one of these starts [img]. Copy that one (click on it so it is highlighted and press "ctrl" & "c") and then paste into your post (pressing "ctrl" & "v").

That is just so cool :beer2: I think Q Cars, that look standard-ish to the casual observer, but frighten the sh1t out of the M-I-L are brilliant - and even better, it's an estate  More power to your elbow mate, excellent.
