Electric Shock

Anyone heard of this problem? 9 times out of 10 when I've been out in my car, I stop the engine, open the door and as I grab the interior door handle it zaps me!

Does anyone have any suggestions or know where I can get a Ford Capri style lightening conductor to stick to my leg? :laugh:

Last time a car did that to me a earthing strap from the car to the body had broke , but i'm no machanic

me and my other half get zapped all the time!! mainly after ive conditioned the seats with leather cleaner!! what clothing your wear can affect if you get zapped or not due to static build from your arse moving about on the seat (ooo errr!!)

Me too - frequently shout out 'bloody static!' as I touch the car door as I get out.

I got out of my car the other day, got the usual shock off the door, and then shook hands with someone and gave him a shock too! The BRM is the only car I've ever had a shock from.

I used to get this badly in my old R200 i'm sure it hated me. lol
