Removal and refittal - needs a coat of orange to bring back to life.

What is the process i assume it is tigerseal'd (or another reputable brand ) to the bumper?

Nope. Screws.

Take off the bumper and it is held on by about 15 little screws from behind.

If you're taking the bumper off, any chance you could take a few pics for a 'how to' - I need to do this but keep looking at the amount of screws and bottling it.

Easy peasy! I've done it so many times its silly.

1. Open bonnet
2. Undo 4 bolts on plastic panel surrounding bonnet catch
3. Remove plastic panel
4. Pull back wheel arch liner (its flexible plastic, sometimes turning the wheels makes it easier)
5. Reach up inside the wing and there is a bolt between the bumper and wing on each side, 10mm iirc, undo. You can take the plate off that the bolt does up upon, it sits on top of a lip on the inside of the wing and is usually rusted to hell. If the wing bolts shear off fear not, the plates and bolts can be bought from any Rover parts dealer and they're quite cheap.
6. Take off number plate
7. Undo bolt behind number plate
8. Undo 4 screws underneath the bumper, attaching the bumper to the undertray.

In total you have undone
3 x bolts
4 x plastic nuts
4 x screws

:D

You make it sound easy! I kept looking at it and thinking the wheel and the arch liner will have to come off too!

Nah, just pull the liner out of the way. A socket with an extension is the easiest way to get to that bolt.

I bought mine from Halfords only a month ago. Full code was BLVC1382
Which was Under BLMC for British Leyland and was called BRM Orange. And was exactly the same as I got or ERM Orange from Rover and they were identical.

I had trouble getting my bumber off so decided to mask the grill
