We are going to have an open day on Saturday 14th of July 2007.
Plans for the day are still in an early stage but we will likely be having a BBQ, either a treasure hunt or a general knowledge hunt based on cars, info in our premises & general MG & Rover facts & figures.
We also plan to have a pride of ownership contest open to all models in the MG, Rover, Austin, Morris etc ranges.
There may be other things as well but still to finalise.
I would like to invite fellow members of the BRM club to our day. We hope to have the pride of ownership event & the general parking on a grassed area known as "The Paddock" which is about 250 yards up the road from our garage.
So far as I know the F-Register have said they will attend.
Those interested in coming feel free to start a list below which would assist in parking & BBQ purchases.
Our own cars will be on display including a 5.0 V-8 MG SV-R & at the other end of MG production a 22 year old MG Metro 1300 in near prestine condition.
I'll be there, am free that Saturday :D

I have written out the questions for the E.M.S.Quiz for which a prize will be awarded for first place & best runner up.
The quiz sheets will likely be handed to drivers as they enter the Paddock.
For the Pride Of Ownership contest there is a £1 entry fee. I aim to have entry forms with James who will be with my eldest son in the Paddock just up the road from the garage. They will also park you up in the relavant area's.
PLEASE NOTE :- All parking is on the grassed area known as "The Paddock" This is in OAK LANE on your right (if you come from the A2) almost opposite the Co-oP food shop just as the road narrows on entering the village centre. We will have a sign by the gate.
Car clubs or forums who attend are welcome to bring a banner.
Times for the BBQ are likely but yet to be confirmed be between 12.30pm & 2.30pm (ish).
(Times etc may be subject to change in cases of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances).
For details of how to find us please log on to our website & there are maps on there.

# Chatham Historic Dockyard including the brand new theme show/park "Dickens World".

Thanks to all those that did attend though there were lots of people from various forums clubs etc that said they were coming & didn't show for some reason. This tends to happen a lot & I can't think why!
Look out for our event NEXT year which will be a BIGGER event rather than classed purely as an open day hopefully with trade stands, bouncy castle, ice cream/burger van etc.
Also likely to have more classes for show categories.
It is also possible that it may be earlier in the year too but to be confirmed.
Was a great day Andy!
And I won pride of ownership for my class :mml: YAY!!!!
Will put my pics up later when I'm home :D
