hi got a little problem was driving my car today and noticed that in second when i got to 5000 rpm there was loss of power meaning no acceleration same with 3rd, 4Th and 5Th meaning it struggled to get to 90mph for top speed :( i cant think what it could be, there are not light on dash showing up,
but some one mentioned that it could be an exhaust sensor (exhaust is blowing).
I'm just wondering if any1 has had any similar problems.
thanks arron
p.s. think i put this in the wrong section :P

Could be Cat, Coil pack, Leads or Plugs

cheers for help
i did notice that my exhaust isn't blowing any more it has snapped off from the flange.
would this cause the car to have sudden loss of power?

When you say 'loss of power' when getting to about 5000 rpm - do you mean that the engine is gutless above 5k revs or that it won't rev past 5000 at all?

I wouldn't have thought the exhaust would give the problem described, but needs to be sorted out anyway - which part of it has fallen off exactly?
What's your air and fuel filters looking like? When were they last changed?
