De-Oranged

No not the snout but finally got round to doing the indicators & taking the orange plastic out of them,, Will get some pics up soon but need to get some silver bulbs, as orange ones look just like the originals.

Anyone got recommendations on which bulbs to go for, Silvertech or Philips, the Silvertech's are bloody expensive though.

bleuvisions are good, but why not keep the light whit, like the rearbulbs

here the law says that indicators has to be orange or white. and in the standard rearlights the indicator also shines white

how about those american imports that indicate direction with the red rearlight??

Imports may be exempt, but over here front lights have to be white, side lights have to be orange and rear lights have to be red (with the exception of the reverse light).

So unfortunately the indicators have to be orange :(

not technically true... the indicators can flash white, although I am basing this on my Land Rover passing it's MOT with them. It could have been overlooked, true...

Not silver tech bulbs - they are orange indicator bulbs poorly sprayed silver.. and don't last that long - Osram the better ones (currently in my de - orangeed ones!)

Hmmm well looking on ZR Site & MG-rover.org people seem to go for the Silvertech's, as there £15 a pair I'm surprised to hear that Spankyban thinks there not that much cop, Been told to stay away from the cheapies on fleabay as they dont last long & turn brown after a while. Off down to Halfrauds to see what they got.

Also decided to do the rear indicators & side repeaters to get rid of the Fried Egg look

I went for the Silvertech bulbs in the end,cheapest place to get them is Banshee £12 from them, other placed like halfrauds charge £15

If anyone else is considering them then you need opposite bulbs for front indicators & Offset for rear

Hmmm guess Adam's Secret, I can only think of 25 style front, Twin lamps & Indicators in bumper but then again would the snout fit on a 25 bumper, nah he would'nt loose the snout :)

No way, dont like the 25 fronts, much prefer the smoother 200 look. It'll be subtle, just need to get time to do it. Probably after my hol's.
