Well another trackday down for the TDR BRM and once again the car performed faultlessly and even better than last time.

The recent suspension modifications have dramatically stiffened the front end and all but eliminated the understeer that we suffered last time, even the tyres seemed to wear a bit less, so the increased camber is definitely giving larger contact patches to the track.

There were a host of cars there ranging from the BMW 3 series, a TVR Cerbera, an entire squadron of Caterham's and lots of others. The BRM was about mid range, actually managing to mix it up with the Caterhams, losing ground in the corners, but making it up with the grunt down the straights.

Good to see a host of people there too who came to see the car. Gave a few passenger rides and unfortunately Graham from this site's ride was cut a bit short when I had a little 'off' going through the esses. Sounded more dramatic than it was (more a gentle pirouette) but I ended up in the grass. Will teach me to go far too hot into a corner and lift off part way through.

Anyway, enough of my waffle, here are some pics with more to follow....

If i didn't know the car was real, i would swear you had 'chopped you inbetween those Caterhams!

Well done mate - things like that are all about having a hoot and glad you did!

Was a good day, lots of fun especially when the 'gentle pirouette' was executed, i gave it a score of 8, form was great but a slight lack of drama prevented the 10. ;)

the car is fantastic, was suprised by the amount of grip it actually had, mad for a front drive car - as I sed at the track adam, u and ur dad have done a great job!

I'm definately there on the 27th!

Is the No 89 Caterham a homage to you or the other way round ??

Ps: 3 points on the licence for the spin and a new pair of under cracks for Graham

I was booked for the evening session and as we looked for a spot in the paddock your mum saw my wife in my Brm and kindly directed us to your pit garage, I sneaked the minus in at the back!

I had a chance to see the car in the pits and on track and its a superb tool! if I wasnt halfway through my strada abarth project I would definatly go for building a track brm, nice work young man!

Thats ok Adam,

I could see you where buzzing! the biggest problem I find with track days is it makes me want to go to the next level and do a race, my strada is going to be built with this in mind... theres plenty of club saloon series where theres a class for any spec of car, the south east saloon series run by SEMSEC is my target.....when I actually get the car finished!
