Which brand of oil do you use?

So I picked up a genuine oil filter from my local X-part supplier the other and I expected them to also have the X-power oil but they didn't - so what brand do people favour? I've seen Mobil 1 for £27 at Halford - anyone have any tips on where to buy big brand oil for less?

Also, why do they do 4ltr cans when surely most cars take over 4ltr? :(

Id rather use Mobil than X-part to be honest as it is better oil and Rover does recommend it!!!

I've used Mobil 1 in the past but i tend to use Mobil Super S 10W 40 now which comes in 5 litres in most Halford stores for around £25

Yeah sorry you're right it is Mobil Super S 10W 40 I was looking at :slap:

I use Guardian 10/40 made by Rock oil i buy it in the 25 litre drums........any good quality 10/40 is fine to be honest...

Okay so I've gone with Castrol Magnetec as it was on rollback at Asda! :D

Annoying though as a 4litre was £17 but a 2litre was only £6.20 and they only had one 2l left.
