basicly not going into massive detail, brm was a racing company in the 1900's and they decided to make a celebatory car, so matched up with rover to make it, they used the rover 200 chassis and created this car, there are only a few in the country 781 if my brain is working this evening and considering the time i doubt it lol, brm stands for british racing motors
now about the orange grill, they all started orange, but as not any were sold, garages started painting them just green, and silver grills.
the car has the same engine as the Mg Zr 160
hope this helps you if not il try and do my best to help you more
thanks james
I'm going to rain all over your parade here James and elaborate a bit more for our transformer friend :D
BRM (British Racing Motors) had various collaborations with Rover over the years, from the Formula racing cars to the gas turbine powered racer. When under BMW ownership Rover wanted to create a more sporty version of the Rover 200VI and the concept of bringing out the BRM badge came to light.
The car is based on the Rover 200 VI, with uprated suspension, a close ratio gearbox, a Torsen differential, the obvious orange grill and an interior designed straight from a pimp's bedroom with full red leather, red carpets and brushed aluminium parts everywhere.
The engine is the 145ps version of the 1.8vvc K-series, slightly less powerful than the ZR160 due to various alterations in internal components, throttle body, etc.
The orange grill is a tribute to the old Formula racers that were coloured Brooklands Green and had an orange grill of their own.
Hope that helps a bit :D
