Any nice plans for the weekend etc?

Currently this weekend i hope to be ready for an exam on Monday and spending a bit of time relaxing in the good weather - trip to the gym, maybe a cider or 3..

Anyone else..?

This weekend I'm planning on going to see a VW Golf to replace our roadpig Scenic RX4 and I also need a haircut!

I went swimming last night for the 1st time in about a year and I totally got out-crawled by a Granny! that old girl had some stamina I can tell ya!

I nearly died laughing when I went to the driving range with my mate once - we were hitting a few balls when suddenly there was a loud 'ting' noise, my mate yelped and then he hit the deck - he'd managed to hit the ball, it'd rebounded off a metal post holding the roof of the driving range up and flew back at him and hit him in the plums!

What are the chances of that? I thought he'd killed himself they way he cried out and went down like a sack of spuds

Why is colour first thing on the list with women when it comes to cars!

BRMark
08-12-2009, 10:05 AM
Well we can buy any Golf we like as long as it's not Silver, Black, Dark Blue (basically all the most popular and available colours)

m8typ

Yeah but then you find sometimes those colours are more expensive as they are the colours people want.

Getting the rover 216 cabby ready for Staples to Naples. Just in case anyone doesn't know, its a 'drive' from Calais to Rome, with various challenges en route, in a car costing no more than £150. We traded a bit and got the cabby, which nearly worked, and nearly had MOT.................

That sounds awesome! you should do a picture diary!

Possibly .........but the wife might see. I was thinking of putting an orange front on the car, if anyone has a spare one. Raising money for cancer research, and Young Carers, ( my day job), in return for a small fee, you can write a message on the car - but nothing that might get us arrested in Italy!:police::alcoholic:
We all start as 'the stig', but we have a set of wings which we are putting on, to go with our flying helmets and goggles. Tally ho.
Incidentally, I need a life size dummy if anyone has one.......preferably not breathing.

of course I meant the wings go on the car.

Update on the wifes car search:

I think I've managed to steer her away from a Golf - place we looked yesterday had 05 plate 5 Door Astra SRI with the exterior pack for the same price as we've been looking at mid range spec Golfs - and we've had a couple of Astras before and I'm a fan! :D

Not a bad shout.. best of a 'common bunch' what i mean by that is they are all very similar, of similar qualities and reliabilty the only thing that distinguishes is the goodies they come with..!

Yeah I liked it because it looked a bit meaner than your standard rent-a-car Astra!

What's the deal there then? are you a dancer/producer/singer/cameraman????

Can you imagine if I really was all of those things! That would be quite an achievement.
I want to call myself a promo director but I haven't quite made it yet. This is my first commission for a grime artist called Kemp. So fingers crossed it goes well! Like the new car, im not a big fan of Astra's but that is one of the better ones.

I'm soooo bloody old. WTF is a 'grime' artist??

On second thoughts - don't answer :)

Mixture of hip hop and drum and bass. Think early Dizzie Rascal. Easy.

I like a bit of grime usually right up until the guy starts chatting

Maybe i just like dubstep then

Good luck though, you'll have to link me up if it makes it onto youtube!

Think early Dizzie Rascal.

I had difficulty with one of these on my dad's old mitsubishi . . . and I called it a lot worse than 'rascal' when the screwdriver slipped too. Rotor arm was easy to change though.

Nah, a 1.2 or similar. She's really not into her cars and wants something cheap to run but reliable.
