Hi Guys, raining really heavily all night and this morning. Started the car - all seemed ok at first but then the revs dipped about 6 or 7 times and I don't mean just a bit, sounded like the engine was about to stall. This lasted for about 4 or 5 minutes.
Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Damp Plug leads?
Maybe the crank position sensor? I had this on mine, although mine actually stalled quite a bit. Ended up it was just loose so gave it a wiggle and its fine now. Make sure all the plugs and leads are in properly.

bit of a longshot, but cold be a hgf, ive heard it happening before, maybe a diagnostics check is needed!
Don't scream head gasket at every problem :p
It might be something a lot less expensive.

So you reckon a change of leads and plugs should sort it? I don't think it looks like HGF as there don't appear to any other signs. Its not even done 25k miles yet, there is no mayo anywhere, no smoke out the exhaust, I've had the coolent system pressure tested etc and that was ok i.e. no leaks, no loss of coolant. All comments appreciated, keep them coming if you think you've any ideas.
P.S. How much is it to sort out a HGF?
HGF your looking around £500-£600 from a decent garage unfortunately :(
