View Full Version : Brands Hatch Track Day 27/08/09
Well yesterday went well despite the day itself being very frustrating. Lots of red flags on track meant good stints out were hard to come by, averaging 3-4 laps and then the flag would be out again.
Lots of very quick cars there, a Radical, a Lotus 211, a couple of KTM X-Bows, Porsches, BMW's, etc, etc
The wee Rover performed admirably and the slicks made a fantastic improvement to the handling characteristics. Learning lines on a track full of very quick cars is hard, but was good to experience the longer circuit. Must admit I do prefer the quickness of the Indy circuit, but that's probably a biased opinion due to the number of stops we had.
I managed not to spin her this time, woohoo, and the only fault is the fan sensor has packed up again :slap: Manual switch being fitted at the weekend to resolve this once and for all.
I'll upload my couple of pictures tonight.
And pictures....

Those tyres wouldnt last 5000 miles, they are racing slicks, they only last a short time then they go off. For example the bigger racing teams use fresh tyres every race meeting

Got overtaken a lot on the straights! Corners were ok, but compared to the Impreza's didnt stand a chance in a straight line.
