a/c problem on a rover 400

I wondered if anyone can help me. I ve got a rover 400 with a/c been in storage for several years i do start it up and turn the a/c on. I went and started it up on the weekend and a/c would'nt work . I have changed the a/c switch, relays and got gas in the system but nothing seems to work. Any one got any ideas thank you.

it may have gas but also needs the correct amount of oil in the a/c system otherwise it will go in failsafe and shut down,,,
