Was thinkin about taknig the cat of my BRM again (just had MOT)
But reading on other sites about other rovers with the VVC engine people are advising not to take the cat of as it affects the runnin of the VVC.
any ideas if this is true or not
chears :fish:
i got told that on the mg-rover.org site when i had a vi.
i have a cat back system and i was recently looking at manifolds. it seemed that if i got a manifold i needed to also buy a cat replacement pipe or a sports cat to make it all fit together. i think the sports cat is the way to go but it means more pennies as is always the case!!

thanks for the reply, yeah have been lookin at the sports cat online...
think i is gonna have 2 invest in 1....
Sports cat is the way forward, although its sometimes hard getting through MOT's on emissions as it has to be HOT! De-catting causes power losses on the vvc due to eliminating some of the back pressure needed in the system.
