Just got my BRM yesterday and while it is generally in mint condition (in terms of engine and interior) the outside it covered in scuff marks (pretty much every panel has some on it).

Does anyone know a rough idea of how much it costs on average to get a fairly large scuff mark polished out of a panel and resprayed?

Also the trim on the mirror side of the passenger side mirror is missing, does anyone know where I can buy this from (the back part of the mirror is still there and it appears all the plastic fittings are still in place).

Also there is no splitter on the front bumper. I have seen this on most brm photos so assume it is standard? If so where can I pick one of these up from?

Thanks a lot for any help :) I really want to try and bring this BRM back to its full glory.

The splitter was only on the factory proto car, although some people have modded a Leon front splitter to look similar.

A blow over for a panel with blending in would probably be around £200-£300ish from a decent bodyshop.

Mirror trim, do you mean the silver part or the black plastic 'ring'? Either way both parts would be available from any R200 that had electric mirrors, so visit your local scrapyard and start hunting. The silver can then be resprayed quite easily.

Mark has already beaten me to the punch with regards to splitters. One chap (I can't remember his name) modified a Laguna splitter to resemble the prototype splitter and that looked pretty good, although I believe it was mangled in a crash unfortunately.
