I bought one two months ago now for £800 with tax & test.

It had a new recon head fitted but it was a total bodge up. I did not know this until I had driven the car 120 miles. The engine just died at 80 mph in the middle lane of the A14. I rolled to the nearest lay-by and the car is now in the garage being fixed over Christmas.

I stripped the head off and took it all to pieces. It has two bent valves.

It is currently being rebuilt by http://www.kb-automotive.co.uk/

He is a top bloke and does my brother in laws race car.

Hopefully it will be done just after New Year and I can actually drive it... :smile2::smile2:

Hi,
The monkey that did the original head change put so much of the wrong type of sealant between the cam carrier and the head that the blocked off 10 of the 16 hydraulic follower oil feed holes. I think that one of the followers failed and this caused the valve hit the piston.

I know about the nose it was specced as Silver but once i get the car running again I will correct this... :smile2:

No I like the car and for the brief time I did drive it. It was very good. It will be a lot better once KB-Automotive work their magic...
