Have you tried any of these? prices for pads seem to be around £45 - 50 per axle

My personal opinion would be to avoid Greenstuff. After having them on mine for a while I hate them, one episode of hard braking and they fade ridiculously after that. I'm probably opting for Mintex at the next change.

Are you talking standard Mintex discs and pads . . . . . . . or any particular variety of Mintex pads?
Just opting for Mintex pads. I've been using EBC discs which seem to be pretty good so i'll be sticking with them.

Are the EBC discs & pads installed on the track car or the road car?
There seems to be a fair bit of differing opinion on EBC's products.
I'm not up on 'performance' parts, but do Mintex manufacture different compounds of brake pads?

I know you can get Mintex 'brakes in a box' on ebay for about £40 - pads and vented disc kit.

That's what I did for my BRM (all corners done for under £100) and just the front set on sonofsnail's (think I paid more than £40 for the fronts only though).

I have EBC discs and Greenstuff pads on the road car. Discs = good, pads = bad.
The track car did have EBC discs and Yellowstuff pads on it, discs = good, pads = fair. Although the pads were very abused on track, we destroyed the fronts completely on the few track days we did last year.

Very true, I do know people that have had Greenstuff pads disintegrate on them while driving. Whether it was a faulty batch, who knows, but its not very good. My opinion is that they perform adequately, but I have had major fade after having to brake heavily, so I've lost some faith in them.

As far as I know there's only one type of pad for our standard callipers.
