I pass though 23 sets of traffic lights on my way to work, and EVERY set was on green this morning.

Its unheard of.

I go through 23 if I go the way with LESS lights. I also go through 7 speed cameras. JOY.

That does seem a lot of speed cameras and traffic lights, if i drove to work from Kent i wouldnt pass that many!

Joys of living in central London and working on the borders of Hertfordshire.

Plus we all know the roads in south London are much less horrible than the ones in the north. :(

There are 3 sets of traffic lights on my street alone, 2 on Adelaide road to finchley road. Before I've travelled a 2 miles I've been through 5 sets.

I consider it a good day if I get into 3rd gear more than once on my way to work.

Oh and the police always hide around the corner of the bridge at the brent cross flyover because that is like the ONE place on the journey where you can get any sort of speed up.. (by speed I mean up to and including the dizzy highs of 40MPH)

So they wait and hijack anyone silly enough to try :(

I've just counted the traffic lights and didn't realise how many there were - I travel 17 miles to work and it's 9 miles before I see a set of lights, then it's 27 sets as I get closer to Swansea . . . and that's not counting the Pelican crossings.

Where is this mythical stretch of tarmac that they havent stuck lights and cameras on yet? Im must visit your neck of the woods! Would be interesting if we all propped our mobile's on the dashboard to video our journey to work and swapped stories.
