Squeaking!

I've had a squeaking sound in the back of the BRM since I bought it. Fraser, my brother has had the same.

Don't know what it is! The sound is in the interior of the car so isn't a problem. Thought it was the parcel shelf retainer brackets/clips as the clips were a bit rusted. Tried a bit of WD40 but didn't help. Fraser has his parcel shelf off the other day and guess what.....the squeaking was still there!

Its quite irratating when you've not got any music on as I'd like the car to be silent when driving. Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be? Suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers

I would've suggested the parcel shelf as I've had problems with this, ended up padding it out to stop the squeaking. If its not this though maybe the spare wheel? Or rear seats somewhere?

Trouble with MG-Rovers, they all seem to squeal!

yeah, we bought new clips from our rover dealer, and that did the job fine!
