i have just got a front and a rear strut brace. are they simple to fit? i presume the front is easy and i just have to undo the bolts, put the brace on and tighten them back up! the back looks more tricky because the suspension mounts are covered. how do i get the carpet off that covers the mounts?

Easy peasy pudding and pie! Not sure if i'll tell yo though because I'm jealous i dont have a rear one :p

Ok then....front is as you said, undo bolts, place it on, redo bolts. Rear you have to undo one screwthat holds the carpet to the part directly behind the rear seats (phillips head) and some little plastic clips where the lights are, they are all simple to undo, then just fold the carpet back (can be a pig but just pull it). Then its the same deal as the front, undo the suspension bolts, place it on and do them back up.

The bolts may need torque-ing, cant remember the exact amounts off the top of my head but a Haynes manual should tell you.

Make sure the braces are done up TIGHT, including if they have any adjustment themselves, TIGHT i tell you. Otherwise you may get knocking noises (i did when mine was a bit loose).

Let me know if you have any other probs/questions :D

Forgot to say, for the rear you have to cut a small hole in the carpet. No easy way of doing this, just use your eye and try to get it in the right place.
