Hi.
I have noticed that my steering wheel has started to wobble under breaking? and the car has started to bare to one side when driving?
Also when its on full lock like to park the wheels and steering wheel feels like its clonked into place and feels unstable (best way I can say it)
Any ideas on what it can be? Any help would mean alot?
ta:cry:

sounds very much like the discs have warped. the wobble under braking is a clear symptom of this. as regards to the other, it may be you need your tracking done.

Jack up the front of your car grab hold of each wheel in turn first at the top and bottom 12 and 6 oclock and tug it back and forth to see if theirs any play then grab the wheel from each side 9 and 3 oclock and do the same this will check bearings track rod ends etc.
Some things need to be under more pressure to reveal faults but you may reveal something loose or worn.
then spin the whel and listen for any noise a bearing might give a grinding noise and you may also get a noise every turn of the wheel as the brake pad gos tight then loose against a warped disc.
You could also get a friend to spin your brake disc round (wheel off) while you hold a flat object like the top of a screwdriver against the disc and see if the disc is true or warped.
Good luck

The pulling to one side and the funny feeling on full lock could indicate on of your calipers has seized, if the caliper is not being allowed to move away from the disc due to a problem with the slide pins - it'll be hanging on the disc causing it to heat up and in turn this constant heat can cause the disc to warp.
obv if you're rubbing one side, it's like braking with one wheel so causing it to pull to one side while driving too.
Checking the slide pins is a pretty easy job, wheel off and then you can get a socket on the slide pins to see if you can undo them - if not then slide the little rubber boot back and check for rust, water ingress causing rust is a common problem on the slide pins.
If the pins are done for, you might have to take the caliper off and get it in a vice to get more purchase on them - the pins are then about £25 for a set of 4 iirc (that was a price I got from biggred.co.uk) or it might be possible to clean them up with sand paper
Remember to refit with plenty of high temp grease!

Good point Alan raised - if you jack up the car and try to spin the front wheel by hand you'll be able to feel the resistance if the caliper is seized on. Normally the wheels should spin with not much effort.

I agree with Fast Alan about spinning the wheel and trying for worn bearings, however, a bearing fault can be masked by the pads, so it is best to either remove the caliper and securely hang it up, or remove the pads then try the wheel and bearing
