Now that the 'unique' bodykit is off, it has left the bonding glue stuff behind - does anyone know a good way to get rid of it without damaging the paintwork?

Also Adam, if you want to make me an offer on the bodykit - might swap for a t shirt:trampoline:

Maybe use some petrol on a soft cloth, that should dissolve it, then wash it thoroughly afterward.

As for the kit......erm....7p and some Haribo Star Mix?

Lakeland in Chester (on the rows) sells a product called 'sticky stuff remover' it's pretty good stuff but only comes in small'ish bottles, don't know if it will work on heavy duty sticky stuff tho' but it might.

Is it worth calling in a local body shop and asking their advice? they may have some trade stuff they'd be willing to let you have a jar of

You could try white spirit or even nail varnish remover but I suppose the worry is always will it affect the paintwork!

I got away with white spirit when removing the glue from my vinyl door strip
