Anyone got anything good going down this weekend?

I know there's not a lot of footy fans on here but it's the Manchester derby tomorrow and City are at home so it'll be a hotly contested match! plus it's a great excuse for me to start the afternoon with a pint or two at 12:30! (and finish the night with a curry or being sick on my shoes) :D

Weather forecast: Beer garden

Does Chris have a Volvo car or Volvo truck?

. . . . . on second thoughts, ignore the question - there's no real difference between the two - they all weigh about the same :weirdo:

I'll be 'shedding' this weekend again. BBQ weather, but all the bits will have to be scrubbed down first!

Helping a friend on saturday, he is getting heavy machinery in his "not so small" garden to dig up the toplayer of the soil and adding another 2 feet of ground on top of it all. Probably the assistance will be limited to having a few beers & giving unasked advice & comments.
Sunday is reserved for F1 and driving to the ship in the evenng as we have to leave on monday morning early for a 5-day inbetween trip.

Quality time i'll have you know :p

Saturday I'm picking up a hard-top from Essex for 'Project B', then back to the unit to finish off the splitter on the track car, then a quiz night in the evening. Sunday is spending time with the missus and family, digging up the back garden, possibly picking up the alloys from Si and maybe at some point relaxing (although that looks very unlikely).

I went to a rally event at Olivers Mount a few years back and my mate saved a toddler from being crushed by a hay bale when one of the cars sent it flying down a hill!

Looks like there's a few of us getting out in the garden then.

I've got to pull up all the carpet that the previous owners thought would be a great idea for keeping the weeds down :slap: been putting that off since we moved in!

I am officially moving back home after being holed up somewhere else since 5 Jan :happy2: I've got my tyres to pump up before I can go shopping and then I've got the chickens to clean out (poo), then it's gardening, we've borrowed this great big f**** off chipper with caterpillar tracks and a great big chute thing for the bits to fly out, other half better watch out as it could easily swallow up a whole person  Sunday afternoon we will be in the pub :beer:

Pulled my back on Friday which sucked! Been in pain ever since :(

Still had time to finish the splitter on the track car and fit a spoiler extension on Saturday, so she's ready for the next track day now :mml:

Sunday was spent collecting alloys from Si (good to see you bud), getting up the ladder cleaning the gutters and then going for a long walk with the olds and their dog :)

I had a wedding reception to go to on Friday night which bored me to tears.

But the rest of the weekend I made the most of the beautiful weather.
Saturday I spent about 4 or 5 hours washing and polishing the BRM using Meguires 3-stage paint restorer, polish and wax. If I'm perfectly honest though, it looks no better now than before i started!
And whoever was in charge of painting these BRM's should be ashamed - I've never seen a worse paint job on any car!

Sunday I spent most of the day out on my bike at Swinley Forest, getting in the way of the xc racers and generally just making a nuisence of myself :) my legs are feeling it today though :(
