Has anyone been through the Halfords standard paint and found a decent match for Brooklands?

I'm toying with the idea of body colouring my mudflaps as within a week of back to black they look grey again, but I'm also concerned that the little bit of flex in the plastic will cause the paint to flake?

They do have plastic primers which might help, got my brooklands geen in halford, but so far have only been spraying it into the top and using in on chips and my big scrape on the rear wing etc but it seems a fair match and should do for the mudflaps as there quit rigid

Was it off the shelf or did you have to get it mixed?

Of the shelf, the slight difference shouldnt show unless you were patching in on top of bodywork.

I made the novice mistake when i first got the car of buying a tin of BRG :slap:

Coupe ones used to be painted but they were a lot more rigid than these ones.

Don't do it, they will look great for the first month but then when the paint does start to crack and flake they will look crap. Just my opinion anyway.

I use autoglym bumper care on mine,it doesnt last but you need a small amount and it goes on quick, theres not much black fortunatly on a BRM,so I also do along the front where the winscreen wipers are and sometimes around the windows, its bullsh**ti*g but does job and make evrything look fresh and new

Hi, I use 'ArmorAll Tire Shine Gel' on my tyres, mudflaps and all other black parts of the car (including the engine compartment). It's brilliant and will last about a month before re-doing.
Hope this helps
