been doing some more checks on the BRM's MPG, as I appeared to be getting only just a shade more than 30mpg, albeit with a few minor issues with the car....
after sorting out the rear caliper and brake problems and fitting the 52mm TB I am getting 37mpg, based on getting 245 miles out of 30 litres... quite pleased with that!
have just fitted a Janspeed, and have again put 30 litres in the tank to do a comparitive test... I will lyk the difference...
anyone getting better than 37....?

you must be doin alot of 'in town' driving or hammering the gas pedal?
i've been trying to drive a sensibly as poss, my journey to work is 3 straight dual carriageways, so I can do a constant 65-70mph. There are a lot of old bill about on these roads too, have had a ton out of it easily, but I like my clean licence too much and also I usually have the wife n kids in the car, so speeding is a real no-no!!

My last fill up, I put in 36 litres and had completed 177 miles.
That equates to roughly 22mpg - and that includes 100 miles of motorway!!

Worked mine out last week as it was my first complete full to empty tank in the BRM, and it worked out at 39mpg, which i was very pleased with, as my BMW was doing 18mpg hence why i sold it!!
