Hey All

Iam starting to look around for a holiday, nothing flash I cant afford to be,I was looking the other day at 14 days in Lanzerote for myself the Missus and my sister in law around the end of August, got the price of a 3 star self catering for £291 each,Iam using that as my benchmark as I look around.

Not really fussed where I go as long as theres sun a pool and I can go very red lol.

Was wondering where your all going, where you find your holidays and if you had any good tips for me on the subject.

Alan

like the sound of that,I suppose my missus is like a lot of people and loves Dolphins, would certainly give the holiday appeal

I went to Ibiza last year - it fecking rocked! :D

But it was oh so very expensive for anything except San Miguel :(

This year I started looking at family holidays (Boooooooooooooooooo) and couldn't find a thing under a grand for anywhere I wanted to go - So we've spent the deposit on going to see the Prodigy in July instead! result! :D

Thats the thing you have to take into account your spending money as well,as the pound is week against the euro,on tv the other day I saw tesco and asda vans delivering to English families in France as theres such a saving over the hypermarkets

Just got back from New York, it was stupidly hot! Managed to get flights with Virgin, and accommodation for 6 nights all for the rather cheap sum of £630, the hotel was a block away from the Empire State! Only went because the last couple of years I have camped in the UK and it rained every single day.

Yep they showed them on gmtv the other morning going over on the ferries and they gave the average household shop a 35 pound saving

Well I never! it makes me feel less guilty about driving to the shops at the top of my street now!

We were going to go to Scotland this year, but with redoing the kitchen and garden we'll probably go camping in the New Forest. Nice and cheap

Next year though thinking of doing a road trip with the lads down through France to Italy.

Sounds cool...I have driven to the south of France in one non stop hit with a friend to decorate his villa years ago

End of august to Mallorca for 10 days, me, the wife, my sister, cousin & his girlfriend. We rented a villa with its own pool & outhouse, together with a rental car & flights: 550 euro pp.
Looking forward to it although it's going to be freaking hot in that time!

I have been there twice now, cousin is in charge of renting the car but I hope he gets a decent one so I can get out one day and enjoy the mountain roads!
