Hi all. Do we have any car insurer recommendations. I have the use of a daily hack so my NCD is allready spoken for. I want to insure my BRM as a low milage second car, but the premiums are pretty steep for the luxury. Any ideas out there?
Cheers
Mark

There's a few threads on this topic, check this one out for starters:

Try classiccarline. They have quoted me less than 2 hundred quid for limited mileage (5,000 miles per year). This is without no a claims bonus, as I use the no claims bonus on my other car!

That amazing! :beer2:

You'll have to share the company if it works out!

Bargain!

I've been with Adrian Flux for the past few years as they seem to be very reasonable for modified cars.

Mine is totally standard spec at the mo.
The insurance company I went with was suggested by Garythesnail in the link Mark kindly guided me to: http://www.peterbestinsurance.co.uk/...cCarQuest.aspx
The £1000 was the first and worst quote, confused was around the £550 mark, the problem being I have my NCD allocated to my daily driver. Peter Best were very helpful and friendly (something I dont assocate with ins company's these days) For 1500 miles they quoted £155 or there abouts, for 3K just over £180 fully comp. It should be said that this policy is on a second car and you don't get NCD just a great price in the first place.
I don't know if the rate would be so good on a daily driver but worth a try maybe.
Thanks all for your help and advice.

Ditto.

I found Peter Best Insurance very helpful, I've just got my insurance from them for £199.32 inc tax & legal protection.

Again its a garaged 3rd car limited to 3K a year
