Here are a few reasons why I might consider getting rid of my BRM, all of which have had to be replaced in the last 2 months:

2 front tyres
Windscreen wiper motor
Radiator
Lambda sensor
Catalytic converter
Water pump
Clutch
Clutch cable

and.....

I now have a hole in my downpipe and my centre section of the exhaust.

It's probably cost more than it's worth but I still don't really want to get rid of it. At least there's not much more to go wrong (I hope)!!!

Moral of the story?

Don't let your BRM get past 92,000 miles!

Heres one good reason for not selling her you have spent a lot of money on her and it's fun to drive.
Thats two good reasons you have spent a lot of money on her and it's fun to drive and the next car you buy you could do the same.
Thats three good reasons not to sell her you have spent a lot of money on her and it's fun to drive and the next car you buy you could do the same and you will live to regret selling it.
Thats four good reasons for not selling it you have spent a lot of money on her and it's fun to drive and the next car you buy you could do the same and you will live to regret selling it and the guys on this website are a lot of fun.
Thats five good reasons ah you get the idea :mama:

I too have often wondered about trading in the BRM but apart from a couple of cars there isnt anything which I consider has the sytle and impact of the BRM. The Jag XKR coupe is one and the honda S2000 is the other. Of course a lot of people will say what about Ferrai or Lambo's but those are mainly beer fueled what if car's and besides if you look at the BRM as a whole package your really looking at a lot of car for very little money.

Exactly, I agree with all of you which is why I just can't get rid of it. Also, there's only one car I would change for (see below - the finest looking car that ever there was), and that isn't practical at the moment.

Getting new downpipe tomorrow due to the hole in it. Does anybody know how much (ish) I should look to pay for a stainless steel centre section?
