Can't say I find it funny, sorry. It just brings back painful memories of 5,000+ skilled workers who lost their jobs in 2005. Before then, BMW turned a profitable and successful Rover Cars division into a loss-making near commercial lame duck less than six years later through incompetance and paranoia over protecting the interests of the BMW badge at any cost. Ultimately, we lost a brand that I still hold very close to my heart and which has little chance of being resurrected in the future because Jaguar Land Rover (more Jaguar executives) are worried that it might pose a direct threat to the Jaguar marque. All very sad.

Back in the day I would have been wound up over something like this, but 5 years down the line and after having defended Rover to other people countless hundreds of times, I have to find the humour in things like this and comments about pipes and slippers.

It's part of being a Rover owner I guess.
