some of you who have the rover 200 angel eye lights might know that these are a dull yellow color, i wanted to mod them to give a nice white light, so i look apart the light unit and added 8 leds to each ring,

then i set about fitting my audi style light strip as i thort it whould look nice on the inside of the unit with the leds comeing down the side it would carry on along the bottom and arund the curve of the indecator like the audi shape lights

i then painted the strip black so it didnt stand out as much and was black like the rest of the unit,
pics of what it turned out like later tonight ;)

how did you get the fronts off of these? Was it just a case of unpopping the metal clips? I have a set of these left over from my old 214 that i might tidy up to put on the BRM or sell!

yes you have to pop of all the metal clips, then with a heat gun heat up the mastic holding the lights togather and as you go around gently pull the lense cover away

i did do this about a year and a half ago but i just stuck the strip to the bottom of the lights
looked like this

but a few weeks ago i went out to the car to go to work and some bugger had robed them along with my wind deflectors, so i allways wanted to put them inside the light unit, and they cant get these ones evan if they want them ha ha
any way sorry for no pics last night guys i took one or two of my phone as the leds were so bright it couldnt focus on them and it looked crap, so hopefully get some tonight with a decent camra

i agree with you the fit is not verry good at all no matter what you try and do, its mostly the gap under the light and the bumper, i got a mg arch kit on the way and also going to have my front bumper strips smothed out so i am going to get the body shop to fill the gap betwen the bumper and light so hopefully should look alot better then
Looking good there Dan!

unfortunately 3 leds on one strip have stoped working allready so i might have to take that one apart and replace the strip as i have spare ones here, so pics might have to wait

All of em are the same!!!
I've tried 3 sets now thinking it was just me!!
I think 216si off RT managed to get a set to fit snuggly but not sure what he did to do so.
It is annoying as they're great headlights but i cant justify the LARGE gaps :(
