how do i remove my gearknob?

hi, im not sure if i have posted this in the right section, so im sorry if i havent, i was just wondering if the gear knob should just unscrew, i have tried to unscrew it with a bit of force but i had no luck. Also i am worried about damaging something. the reason why i want to get it off is because i bought a brand new one to replace it

Hmm.....never tried this myself. I believe it just unscrews though as the actual stick tapers towards the top (where it enters the knob) pointing towards a threaded section being in there.....

the plastic one in the regular rover is just a matter of force, so I think it will be the same in the brm

oh ok, thanks alot. im going to give it another go soon ill just have to try a bit harder

Brm ones(the alloy one) are screw thread as i put one on my ZR for a bit.Force it anti clock to remove.
