Newbie from Southampton

Hi all, had my BRM since Christmas; it's my second one as I had one between 2001 and 2003. Sadly, it was written off after I sold it. Anyway, I decided I wanted another one and bought this from a dealer in Cheltenham (I'm in Southampton). It's okay but it has a very irritating tedency to idle at 1500-2000rpm, ocassionally it'll idle at around 900rpm, but rarely.

Loads of garages have looked at it and all have said that there's nothing wrong with it. Anyway, it had a head gasket last December at 64k just before I bought it, so I'm hoping it'll last a lot longer this time.

I don't know what the build number is as I've never got round to joining the club this time. Anyway, here's some pics...

good stuff... expect the idle is just a sticking throttle body

Thanks chaps. It's had a new TB, new sensors etc and none of them hace cured the fast idle. Sometimes I can drive along at 30mph without touching the throttle!

Oh, and the tailpipe is just one of those Halfords Ripspeed things that bolts on. The original tailpipe was rusty and pitted. It'll need a new backbox soon anyway.
