Well i didn't manage to get everything I wanted to done this weekend but did 2 of my jobs.

Firstly was the steering wheel, mine was in pretty poor condition so swapped it for an MG-TF wheel in the same colour as the original BRM wheel. Its slightly smaller and feels a lot better in your hands, just required a teeny bit of trimming of the airbag module. Only got the one picture i'm afraid showing the difference in sizes...

Secondly was a slight update of the front end. What do you do if you've got some crappily made angel eyes, rip them apart of course :D

Still not sure on the de-oranging but did it anyway and made a slight alteration to the lights at the same time with a splash of green. Here's some pics of the finished result...

Cheers matey.

Yup, wing badges have always been there. My theory is that the worker sticking them on got tired as the cars went along the production line so he eventually stuck them lower and lower

lol sounds about right, have you got anything else in mind for your car? ive always been into improving, modifying the two 216's ive had but with my brm i decided that im going to keep it the way it left the factory and keep it totally origional, im trying to get it to look as new as possible. hopefully ill be able to get some pictures of it posted on here this week

Good man! I do love an original BRM, with mine I just decided to do things that I thought they could've improved from the garage.

Next on the list is refurbing both front seats, then I honestly don't know. Probably a front end respray as she's a bit stone chipped now.

Wasn't fun at all. Burnt my thumbs on hot plastic, cut my fingers to pieces, etc, etc. I like the final result though.

Yea, has to be one of the worst saturdays I have ever spent while wouking on my car! Was ready to commit suicide when I realised I had finished one light, but still had another to go!!

What colour is your new steering wheel? I was driving my dad's MG-F last week and noticed that the wheel was much smaller! Isnt as much fun to drive though, I hated the clutch and the gear box with a passion! And my BRM is faster!

What colour is your new steering wheel?

Just realised that is a retarded question, ignore me! :noexpression:

Hehe, the wheel is the same colour, just a different size. Feels good in your hands though, and I figured out that having a smaller wheel only means that it makes me put more effort into turning it, therefore exercising me more

The lights were a pain, its just rained here so got to see whether they held up to the water!

I worried about the rain too! But havnt had any leakages so far! :trampoline:

i like the green, what is it? Wish I had thought of doing it when I had them in pieces, no chance am gonna do it again!!

Its supposed to be Brooklands Green, thats what the can said anyway :slap: But I just taped up the insides of the lights, primered them and sprayed it on. Breaks up all the silver.
