Just got the bill for some work at the garage to fix an oil leak, probably the camshaft seals. Turns out it was almost a whole days work and £437! Add to that new brakes, MOT, heater whatnot and I'll soon have spent more than the car cost. My wife now wants me to sell the bike. Bloody car better not break on its first track day.
The camshaft seals are a pain as the cam carrier all needs to come off. A lot of garages wont even touch it because of the vvc mechs.
Mind you I had my car resprayed 2 years ago and it's in the paint shop again having £600 worth of rust removal done :slap: Labour of love I think they call it!

I knew there would be money to spend its just a shock when the estimate doubles and the bills mount so quickly. I have new brake hoses, disks and pads to go on which hopefully I can do myself now. Any tips?

Love the chops by the way. I grew a moustache for Movember which my wife hated. These things have to be done though :-)

Take time to clean up and regrease the caliper slide pins while you're there.

I've spent more on mine in the first 12 months ownership, than I did on the actual car now.....

Ah well if you bought a brand new car you'd be looking at £200+ a month just for the HP! :D
