Known oil leaks?

Hi Folks, just a quick question about any oil leaks people may have experienced with the 1.8 K VVC engine.

So far mine seems fine apart from the very tiniest of tiny seeps along a small section of the cam 'carrier' flange (don't know proper name!) just underneath the VVC unit / on the right of the dipstick top. It's only evident after a long motorway journey, and is literally a tiny dot on your finger when you wipe it.

However I'm paranoid about oil leaks, and was wondering if anyone has this or worse, and if there's anything I should keep an eye out for?

Mine's done 35,000 miles by the way.

Oil and coolant always meticulously checked etc, no worries there!!

A common leak is around the cam carrier. As you look at the engine its usually left side at the front. Not a big problem but just keep an eye on it.

36k is low mileage for a BRM now, hope you can keep her running sweet for many more miles.
